After very successful live events and trend webinars, the FASHION TREND POOL season opening for A/W 22/23 took place again as a digital event on 1 December. This time – in addition to the latest fashion and shoe trends – the focus was on creative visual merchandising and the topic of diversity.
As a prelude to the new season and inspiration for products and lifestyle ranges, Karolina presented Karolina Landowski extraordinary visual merchandising ideas. The focus of her presentation on emotionality at the POS: creative concept stores and sustainable retail spaces. She rated the topic of Wellbeing and Holistic as an important impulse. Whether it’s yoga or meditation, mindfulness and self-care have reached a large audience through the Corona Pandemic and are nowhere near their zenith.
The topic of sustainability also promises exciting concepts with upcycling areas and selected vintage and preloved fashion, which are being presented in more and more stores among new merchandise – from Le Bon Marché in Paris to Breuninger in Düsseldorf.

Blessing Adejoro
. She runs Godspeed, a
black owned and women run PR space for fashion and lifestyle brands. Blessing Adejoro highlighted that authentically addressing and implementing the needs of marginalised audiences such as People of Colour and the Black community not only convey important values, but are ultimately very profitable for businesses. After all, many consumers have so far not felt picked up or addressed by brands, products or campaigns.
The second part of the SEASON OPENING was the extensive trend lecture of fashion expert
Marga Indra-Heide
. Just before the upcoming order round, she reported on the new colours, materials, stylings, shoes and accessories for the new season. For the three FASHION TREND POOL Colour Codes Emotion, Evolution and Excentric, she sets out three trend theses for the coming winter: Brightness stays. Black’s coming back. Strong colours enliven the assortments. The most important shoe and fashion themes move between outdoor and office, between cosywear and occasion.
